Jakarta Dept. of Micro Small and Middle Cooperative and Trade (KUMKMP) together with Food and Medicine Monitoring Agency (BPOM) held a food checking in Lenggang Jakarta, Monas Park, Gambir, Central Jakarta, Friday (8/14).

The team found five food samples contained borax, formalin, and rhodamine B. Those dangerous ingredients found in ketupat (rice cooked in coconut leaf casings), cotton candy, red crackers, and yellow noodle.
Head of City BPOM, Dewi Prawitasari, admitted there were four out of 81 snacks tested contained dangerous ingredients.

According to her, the samples were found in different food sellers. KUMKMP department then gave counseling to those traders.
